We make shows for large and small theatres, schools, community spaces, rural venues and festivals and teach puppetry and offer professional workshops to individuals, schools and groups both online and face to face.

We work with Carers and other to raise awareness, recognition and support for young and adult carers within communities and  public services such as schools, health, social services and housing as well as other charities and among employers.

Grow Cook Share

Local Powys charities, Cultivate and Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations, are jointly facilitating a new food network in Powys called Grow Cook Share - Food for Life Get Togethers. The project is funded by the Soil Association - the nature friendly food and farming charity. The network is helping to link up projects such as the Hanging Gardens to collaborate on projects sharing the same values.

Handpowered teach rural skills such as scything, hedgelaying, coppicing, drystone walling, greenwood-working and taditional craft making. We also offer to do these skills for you, so if you want your lawn mown by scythe, your weeds cut back or your hedge layed, get in touch. All of the work is done using hand-tools only, using traditional ancient knowledge. We are dedicated to running a sustainable business and have experience in conservation and ecology, which means all of their work is guided by sound, ecological principles.

Gwneud Gwair Cymreig

The Welsh Hay project aims to create, protect and reinstall value to hay meadows habitats. Since the industrialisation of agriculture hay meadows have increasingly become relics of the farmland ecosystem, yet their value for ecosystem services can not be overlooked. Meadows have huge capabilities to store carbon from the atmosphere as biomass, both above and below ground, they support a plethora of biodiversity, from microorganisms to insects to birds and mammals.

Coed Cymru are Wales's foremost woodland organisation. We aim to improve the landscapes of Wales containing woodlands and trees. 

Our aims are to improve the landscapes of Wales containing woodlands and trees. Our staff provide advice and support, access to innovation and grant aid.

We bring research into practice and our established body of work in timber development enables cooperative projects between woodland and timber businesses, increasing the economic value and performance of Welsh timber.

Bee Friendly

Bees, butterflies and other pollinators are an essential component of our environment. Due to a variety of factors, numbers have declined and pollinators are now in trouble. The good news is that you can help. Becoming Bee Friendly will give pollinators what they need to survive and thrive, and by working with others we can make Wales a pollinator friendly country.

We are initiative aimed at communities and community organisations, schools, public bodies, town and community councils, businesses, universities and colleges, places of worship…….. and many other organisations, all around Wales.

Montgomery Bee Keepers Association

We are an informal and friendly group of beekeepers who have a common interest in keeping and learning about the Honeybee.

MBKA is a beekeepers association covering the historic county of Montgomeryshire in Powys, Wales and is affiliated to the Welsh Beekeepers Assoc and the British Beekeepers Assoc.

Zero Carbon Llanidloes is a local non-political community group which aims, in partnership with people living and/or working in and around Llanidloes, to explore and increase our understanding of the local impacts of our climate and ecological emergency and to take appropriate practical action.
